Yes, this is a bit of a problem, because I have never done anything M&B related. :-\

I've messaged PG on facebook, since he hasn't been on in over a month, we kind of need to either get him back or find a new C&C admin.

I guess we could try and find a junior staffer for the M&B section?

I've started working on the Warband lists.
If I manage to keep this pace, they'll be done in less then a week.

Can't do much about the 1.011 lists atm.
Starting a new thread would not be the right solution since the current one has more than 50 000 views.

I've noticed that those 50,000+ views hasn't increased but by a few hundred in the last couple years.

Well neither have the other treads.
And these link us with some of

And that's because we got outdated and obsolete. We don't do much these days, apart from you and your RTW mods. We need a big project to revive this site.
With M&B 2 coming up, we could get our chance and start a new community mod.

I'm just not sure we can sustain long-term growth purely through modding - getting the Academy running better again, or some of our programming projects, might be a better bet in some ways as those are genuinely unique to the site.

But the academy hasn't been updated for quite some time... And it only gets us a few people who came here for the modding part in the first place.

Reviving the modding part would be a much need infusion for this forum. Just to start things up again.
And bring back the old crew.

I'm really sorry that I'm kind of a weight here... just hanging around, not doing many productive things, but I know that if I try to get into something else I might regret it :P

Your not a weight.

I was talking about our old projects and our modding crew which kept us active and connected to the rest of the sites.
They're one of the most important parts of this site, but they're horribly outdated.

Fair point. I can't be pushing hard at that side of it, though; I need someone else to be willing to put in the time.

I mean... Southern Realms, Narnia, and Warhammer were/are all my projects, and I can't work rapidly on three projects of that scale anymore, it's simply not going to happen. We need to get to a stage where staff are more key because of their work facilitating projects than their actual work on said projects, perhaps.

How about a peace of original software?

I know we're all busy but I think a professional, well marketed program could really draw some new talent to the site, what I don't know is how viable such a project would be.

How many people do we have that can effectively program, what else do we need to consider and what would we do exactly?

The question is what's our best and how do we give it?

Debux, you're not a weight.

Me on the other hand... :P

I can sort out the M&B stuff. It was my stuff to deal with two years ago when I got the job, I suppose its about time I actually sort it out. :(

I was working on a castle for Southern Realms once. Maybe I could continue a bit. Get a solid release with no floating structures. :P I'm just dreaming though. I'll probably get around to it one day.

Cool, cool.

We should also start thinking about moving on to new games.
RTW2 and M&B2 would be a nice start.
Anyone thinking about getting any of those when they're released?
Or some other games?

I will be getting RTW2 for sure, and would love to get into modding it too.
