Could anyone try making me a hand cannon? As in a musket/gun weapon that literally looks like a holdable size cannon. The earliest handheld firearm, in other words.

Well... Have you tried the eagle and the radiant cross? If you can't find it there just post the screenshot here and I'll give it a try

Or even better if you are looking for something like this :

You can find it in Kedoo's Horde lands (It's named boomstick and it's rotated on the wrong side but I can fix it....)

The boomsick is pretty low-tech. But I want to go one step more basic;

Believe it or not, the above are in fact genuine handheld firearms, both from the chinese Yuan dynasty.  :D

Sorry I can't see the first one but the second one looks funny... I mean it must be heavy as hell and it's efficiency is small

Also M&B characters won't be able to use them properly because they have no handles...
But I guess I could try

I think that hand cannon like that one is not possible in M&B... The main reason would be the reloading animation for firearms. It would look normal only if i make it very small ... Just a bit bigger than the flintlock pistol... And the other option would be something like this : (it's a french hand bombard)

Spoiler: click to toggle

That hand bombard would be just as good, if you can make it.

I was pretty busy today... So this is what I've done in 6-7 minutes

I expect it to be around 800 tris for the first lod and around 900 to 1000 for the real model
I'll maybe add the second lod since the model is high poly...

You, sir, win an internet. Excellent work!  :D

It's now textured ... I have used texture named "helmets.dds"... It's from native so it will improve the loading time for this item...

Legend :
First model : original model, 986 tris (for player and units which are very close to player)
Second model : lod1, 790 tris (appears on distant characters)
Third model : lod2, 248 tris (it appears when there is a large distance between player and the character equipped with this weapon)

* the differences between the original model and his first lod aren't that big (basically a few smoothed edges) but it improves the look a lot.

The model is nearly finished... I just have to position it

The cannon is in game and it works perfectly...
