Time marches swiftly on - would Fri 24 broadly work for people?

I suspect I won't be able to make this one (I'm not actually meant to know this, but my dad is planning a birthday surprise theatre trip for me, and I'm pretty sure that'll be on the 24th).

I am totally exhausted but Friday the 24th should probably work.  Its possible I will have some good news by then!

According to my calendar friday the 24th of November 2023 is indeed a real day.

I was about to say that if it was bad luck we could just decide to count it in the Julian calendar instead to stop it being the 13th... then I looked it up, and today is Julian 31 October and therefore Hallowe'en, so all in all possibly not the best day I could have chosen for non-cursed luck wishes!

I'm not sure I'll be around that evening: a UK organisation I belong to is holding its AGM on the Saturday afternoon, in Preston. I'm not sure I'll attend, but if I do, I might travel on the Friday and stay over.

Ah, sorry to hear but I hope the AGM is interesting and that it's good to see people if you do go to it :)

Also, pub duly announced, it looks like we have enough people for the 24th so the email is sent, the pact is sealed, etc etc
