Here are the plans for the next release of warsword

New npcs and mercenaries
Sorting out merchants for all new armours maybe faction related
Update the Foxyman's form ranks code
Adding beastmen as raiders and maybe Goblins as looters
Adding Bretonia , Highelf and dwarf factions
Adding the warhammer map
The warhammer map is now done,
I've had to convert the map a bit to get every thing in but the general shape is there.

So for the map am I right in thinking you've just kinda crunched the ocean between Nagarroth and Norsca majorly majorly?

Also, since the area IS there on the map... Kislevites? They would be wholly kickass, you must agree.

Yep the warhammer map is crunched up a bit , I blame the tectonic plate shift . Lol  :D

the Kislevites will feature in the mod but maybe not as a faction , maybe as a part of the empire and as bandits to attack the chaos part of the map ?

Also does anyone have any ideas or some special coding to make this mod stick out more from the rest , something unique ?

yeah, i've an idea ( and i'm french so sorry for the slaugther ^^)

in the Warhammer World, it's current to hire mercenaries warband so it's could be great to do that : add a leader to mercenarie warband with 2 diplomatic option :
  -sell you some troops
  -become a vassal : he can patrol around your state, follow you and fight with you. for the hire cost it's could be a first cost, depending of the band and a week cost like the rest of the troops, except that if you can't paid them, mercenarie come back neutral


an other thing wich could be cool should be craft : some Old World Race have talentuous craftmen so you could add some forge and workshop as improvements for village and town :
    blacksmith could make weapon and armor for upgrade troops ( nothing too complicated, just make 2 model of armor, with the same skin but with differents value) or to buy
    craftman workshop could produce you free stuff weekly ( runic object, decoration etc...) in the way to sell it.

Flying_Spaghetti  thanks for the ideas but most of them have been done in one form or another in other mods , Im really looking for something total new .

ok, sorry, i don't know all mods

other possibilities :

party size depending of the race : huge for skaven and orc, low for elves, dwarves and bretonnia, normal for empire and chaos

recruitable assassin for skaven and dark elves, able to kill ennemy lords
recruitable spy for survey specific town
abilitie to choose the taxe level in town
happiness building (opera, market etc...) increasing town feeling about you
bad feeling may cause a revolt ( the town become neutral, you must kill the HUGE revolutionary militia army to put the town back to your control)
goblin and beastmen invasion(big pary spawning sometimes)

need to feed your population building mills, culture etc...


buyable siege devices in town, in the way to immediatly attack castle (at the cost of a reduced move speed when assembled)

gun powder artillerie, allowing you to kill lot of soldier and attack castle without siege device ( with the main door destroying)

magic lores specific to each race

moral : each kill make moral up, looses make moral down, the army with a moral loose the battle (represent troops leaving battlefield)

Although I don't know much about Warhammer lore I must say that I'm completely amazed ... That is one of the best maps I've ever seen
