This is a series of little books published by Oxford University Press, aiming to introduce the reader to an academic topic in well under 200 pages. I love them to bits, anyone else come across them? Reading The Crusades at the moment.  :D
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...
