Why The Snails Also Do Not Sing

There is a creature called a snail,
It's quieter than mice,
It lets out no song, call, or wail,
Sounds neither harsh nor nice
Perhaps within its shell the sound,
Just spirals into nowt,
Perhaps its melodies whirl in,
And never get let out?

And one day all the snails will loose
The songs they stored rolled tight,
Cacophonies and choruses,
To shake the day and night -
Or yet, perhaps, they never will,
And as they slowly roam,
Keep stored their spiral gramophone,
As music box and home.
