This thread is for discussing the monthly newsletter that is now being sent out monthly. The newsletter contains information about what has been going on in the past month at Exilian, and similar news.

Here you can discuss the latest issue, comment on it, give criticism, feedback, woops of joy, etc.

I am currently in the process of writing the first issue, and will post it when it is sent out.

To all Exilian members,

Welcome to the first Exilian Newsletter! This will be a monthly article sent to all members, containing information about new mods, events, notices etc. It will not attempt to sell you anything, like a lot of so called 'newsletters', just give you the latest from our little corner of the net.

So, Issue #1:

Mods

One of our hosted mods, The Horde Lands for Mount&Blade 1.011, maintained and developed by Keedo420, has had a new release. Version 1.22 of the mod adds several new features, such as new spells, new items, abilities etc. And fixes many bugs present in 1.21.

Here is a list of some of the features of The Horde Lands:

8 Playable Races: Human, Elf, Dark Elf, Goblin, Orc, Zombie, Skeleton, and Ghost (transparent skeleton). Starting attributes, skills, and weapon proficiencies are affected by gender and race. (exact numbers may be tweaked later)
A completely redesigned map with 8 Kingdoms (each with expanded troop trees and equal territory), as well as expanded troop trees for outlaws and mercenaries.
Nearby enemy parties will now join forces against you.
291 new items (85 horses, 40 helmets, 18 shields, 51 armours, 3 boots, 75 weapons, & 18 cloaks, 1 gauntlets), plus several items not available in Native (including black armour) have been added back to the merchants.
Expanded recruitment options: 3 different recruits per kingdom at villages, hire rogues & mercenaries from tavern keepers, greater variety of random hire-able troops in taverns, and the NPC Necronus sells undead troops. Mid and upper tier troops can be recruited from towns/castles if the player is a member of the controlling faction. If the player is leader of their own kingdom, the troops recruitable from towns/castles will be based on the culture the player chooses for their kingdom. Tavern keepers, Guild Masters, Tournament Masters, Ransom Brokers, and Travellers can now be recruited as well.
Non-tournament arena fights now include a wider variety of opponents.

The Wedding Dance, a mod for Mount&Blade 1.011, is a mod that adds many new features to the game, including chariots, a storyline, many new items and armours, a new map, lots of silly hats, and of course, the ability to get married.

I released Pyrrhic Victory - a minimod.

SubRosa enlightened us to Amazon: Total War 3.0c (wonder who moved her to do that, heh).

EG got under way... then stalled.

I know, i never said it was recent release, but it wasn't mentioned in previous newsletters and I'm short on RTW news, so give me a break.
