Exilian Newsletter #4

Hi there, in this issue, we have new mod releases, new content and new Exilian staff members. Read on.

Mod Releases

First off we have two new mod releases to celebrate, Southern Realms and Europe 1080.

Southern Realms is a mod that expands the native game of Mount&Blade with more land, more troops, more factions, and navies, but to name a few. Jubal, the mods creator, has released a new beta with plenty of bug fixes, new features and more troops than you can shake a stick at! Europe 1080 is a mod that takes Mount&Blade to Europe at the dawn of the middle ages with all of the factions of the era, including the smaller ones like Aragon. It has new armours, troops and the whole of Europe to run around in! Dimos, the mods creator, has released version 0.2 and you can get it here: http://s9.zetaboards.com/exilian/forum/3005237/

New Content

Over the past week, we have been expanding the Rome: Total War section of our site, and as a result we have four new articles for you to read. They are all written by comrade_general and they all cover his mods for RTW which are, by the way, quite good. You can view them here:

New Staff

Elections for Sebastokrator Popularos and Spatharios have happened and the results are as follows:

Dripping D keeps his position as Spatharios.
Silver Wolf is elected Spatharios.
And Dimos is elected Sebastokrator Popularos.

Welcome to the fifth Exilian newsletter, this will be short issue, as it has bee quiet of late, but here you are:

Mods:

Warsword, a Warhammer mod for Mount&Blade, has had an article of its own created on Exilian. The mod has progressed to the stage where I can make an article for it without the mod dying the next day. Enjoy the article and feel free to comment:

Warhammer: Total War for Rome: Total War is inching closer to a new release, as Jubal reports that it now has a fully functioning and complete map for it now. Link below:

Also, any modders out there that have experience with RTW, Jubal wants your help! He is working on this project pretty much solo, and any help would be appreciated. All contributions will of course be credited, if included in the final release. The areas Jubal needs help in are coding, new buildings, traits, and rebalancing troops. Any modellers out there would also be welcomed, so put your name down! The more help he can get, the quicker the mod will be released.

Site Staff:

In line with the democratic way the forums are run, there will be elections for Sebastokrator and moderator posts in June. If you feel like standing for them, feel free to put your name in. If you don't understand what the posts are, read here:

Bear in mind that anyone applying for the posts should be prepared to put in a reasonable amount of effort if they are elected. If they do not do anything, then Citizens can initiate a vote of no confidence if it is passed, the staff member will be voted out and a new election will be held. All staff are also expected to abide by and enforce the Terms of Service.

Site Tech:

Anyone who bothers to read the Terms of Service will have noticed that since our upgrade to Zetaboards a while ago, the HTML used to format it has been broken, due to ZB not supporting it. Thanks to the efforts of Son of the King, they have been reformatted as BB Code and are finally readable again. Read them here:
