A problem here is that we don't have good words for every animal's noise: I'm not sure what to use for the sound of an oriole, or an anteater (they snuffle perhaps?) or a penguin or a tortoise. Fictional animals are little better, for a tarrasque also has an unknown vocalisation range, as do were-seals, mindflayers, and flumphs.
