I have not played AOEIII (in fact I don't think I've played it since the first one :P ), but your report makes me want to fire up one of the C&C's again.

Marcus

In other news, an idiot set herself on fire by decanting petrol in the kitchen, next to a lit gas cooker. What a pillock.
"So if you meet me, have some courtesy, have some sympathy, and some taste. Use all your well learned politesse, or I'll lay your soul to waste."

Jubal

Truedat. Which was partly prompted by an idiot advocating that people should keep an illegally large amount of petrol at home in case of fuel strikes that haven't even been announced yet. Unfortunately, this idiot is a government minister.  :P
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Marcus

Yep, pillocks all round. Sigh. I bet he didn't worry about being able to get fuel...

They can use the army tankers on special duty for ministerial limousines, I bet.  :P

He is Jubal the modder, Jubal the wayfarer, Jubal the admin. And he has come to me now, at the turning of the tide.

Jubal

I actually really like AoM. AOEIII was certainly not the best of the series, though.

Jubal

One was less good than 2, but prolly better than three.

Yeah. I king of agree. When I was little I thought it was the best game in the world. I spent literally a whole day on one scenario trying to get through it. (I was little)

Heheh, I never even got through a lot of AoE campaigns. It's a little-known fact that I suck at gaming, I'm pretty much just a programmer (I'm better at multiplayer, where I can mindscrew people, but even then experienced players can own me on most games).

AoE II. One of the best video games ever. No one can deny that fact.

Marcus

I quite liked AoEIII myself, the thing that really annoyed me was the lack of any european setting, the american setting got boring quite quickly.

I've never played it but what I've seen of it, it's not as good as 2.
