Honestly I liked non sweary Capaldi - I think we're all going to find out just how versatile he is in the next few years.  :)

That's true. This will be a proper test of his acting skills.

Oh and I just can't see Clara as his companion.

Yeah, I don't know if Clara will stick around for more than another series tops. That said, if he's a bit sharper/nastier than Eleven he might need a companion who does the sappy stuff more?
