OK so descr_character is made up of entries like this:

faction romans_julii
dictionary 15
strat_model sm_kisgen
battle_model turban_general
battle_equip gladius, chainmail shirt helmet and rectangular shield

All you should need to do is change the battle_model for the gauls from celt_general to celt_lesser_general.

Sweet, thanks!

I'll try that when I get back from my exam!

Jubal

Let me know how it goes, and good luck with the exam! :)

Hi there. I'm having a crash problem with the mod. It's crashing on the hordes of chaos turn. I'm at year 2801 and playing as the beastmen. Thanks for any help. Love the mod.

Jubal

Have you tried reloading and rerunning the turn end a few times? Is there a specific battle etc that's causing it, and have you tried using the -show_err command line to see if it gives an error message.

Glad you're enjoying the mod, and welcome to Exilian :)

I've tried reloading the game about 4 times and it crashes every time it gets to the chaos turn. As for a battle, i'm not engaged with chaos on any fronts at the time of the crash, though there is a medium sized army 1 move from one of my cities. And we are at war. And i have no idea what the show error command line is or how to use it.

Jubal

Are you using the steam or non-steam RTW version?

OK, so in your WHTW shortcut properties where it has the -WHTW command line, add -show_err after that, and if there's any error message produced when it crashes, let me know. :)

Ok, so I added the -show_err line to the target location command after -mod:WHTH and now it looks like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:WHTW -show_err

And after that the problem still persists and I am getting the same error message: Rome: Total War has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution"

Not sure if I did that properly but nothing else popped up when it crashed.

Jubal

No, that's done right, means there isn't a specific bug and it's probably some inherent instability that's worked itself into the save file unfortunately :(

So I need to restart my campaign then?

Jubal

I suspect so, I'm afraid - I can't think of anything else I can suggest.
