I passed my thesis proposal presentation

I had two conditions placed on me by the panel in addition to the general pass grade, one of which was "do at least one module of Byzantine history" - which is, uh, a bit of an interesting one considering that's what my literal actual Master of Research degree is in, but oh well, it'll be an easy few credits I guess...

Had a few days UKside, now heading back. Big scary sky tube leaves in 15 mins or so

The big scary sky tube has apparently reached the ground again, intact, at the expected location, and about 10 minutes early; hopefully the same is true of all the people on board. I presume Jubal will report back once he's gone through all the usual airport processing.

I am back at Exilian HQ my flat I appear not to be dead, and my fellow passengers also seemed to be still in the land of the living as hypothesised.

Two weeks back in Vienna now and then, excitingly, I'm off to Frankfurt! Less exciting, I need to get back to getting my hands dirty with front end programming on my supervisor's project. It will not be fun at all, but that's the job for the next few days...

I'm extremely tired, it's been a really tight packed last few days. I hope I'll enjoy the new city, though!

I've hardly eaten today from general nervousness. I also know nobody in this city which feels weird. Hopefully both edible and friendly/humanoid Frankfurters will be found in the coming days

I read that as Frankfurters which are both edible and people and I was a bit disturbed. I suspect that was the wrong way to read it. But hatching a plan to eat another human would be a very good reason to be nervous tbf.
