So, what do you guys reckon the new total war game will be? Judging by the evidence, I'm betting on either Rome 2 or Shogun 2, the latter especially, as I would love a Shogun on the NTW graphics. *phwooor*

I'll guess R2, though I've no idea.

I still say a proper fantasy TW game would rock (I guess that's why I'm making one).
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

CA won't do fantasy, they stick to historical periods. Although they do stretch the realms of credibility at times. :P

One of those most likely. I'd rather have Rome 2, but its somewhat irrelevant to me since I haven't advanced past M2TW nor upgraded me pc in years.

What do you think is coming next? I'm really hoping R2TW, although hopefully with a new engine. Don't like the "new" fighting animations

I hope R2TW, but that would also be bad because I would need yet another new computer to run it... (currently could maybe just about run Shogun 2 from looking at requirements).

Yeah, the new required specs are insane... I just got a new pc last year and I'm barely at the recommended specs.

I wonder if those extra polys are really worth it.

Yeah, the fact that the cpu on the recommended specs outclasses my Core 2 Quad in every way does not fill me with hope.

I'd rather the damn game was playable than I fit another thousand polygons onto the screen.

Playable, you mean for those with modest pc's, or you haven't liked what appears in the battle reports and previews?
