Son of the King

Yeah perhaps, because currently I'm not as my laptop is pathetic but I may be getting a new computer in the near future, so there is maybe hope that I can afford something to play this on.

I dunno what the graphics'll be like... I doubt they'll ramp the settings up much higher than any previous games, it would seem rather pointless to.
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Marcus

I really want ragdoll physics in this game, although it is unlikely, considering the scale of TW battles.

Mine already dies on M2:TW lowest settings, so I hate to think what ragdoll physics would do to it...

Despite the fact it would increase system requirements somewhat it would indeed be awesome.

Marcus

I am somewhat surprised that a serious thread about a game has got this much activity in a short time. Woo! :P

yes, because samurai-era japan is interesting and no, because I can't play it...

I have the same problem with many others: My wonderful laptop can`t deal with Empire or Napoleon, so how could it deal with STW2? But there are indeed great modding chanses in the game. As far as I see it, we have had no China in any TW. China has quite a colorful history, for example, the warring kingdoms. Also the mongols could be included... but unfortunately not the zulus

Silver Wolf

That's true... China was quite colorful, in fact it still is... There is some kind of mod for MTW2 which focuses on medieval Chinese cultures ...

My interest has been piqued, but my machine is way overdue for an upgrade. (even though it can run for a month without restart ;) )

After Napoleon came out i was really thinking and hoping that CA could make Rome 2 total war, or a third medieval since the second was great, though it was a small chance of that happening. Im not that excited about Shogun 2, but i will still watch games of it since my computer and many others wont be able to handle it.

I've never quite worked out why game designers are so graphics obsessed. Or rather I have - graphics are the saleability of a game - but it depresses me, because gameplay is what makes or breaks a game for being fun and that rarely seems to be accounted for.

With regards to the poll yeah maybe.  Never played the first one but Samurai interest me.  And in an environment where everyone watches Deadliest Warrior and frequently quote frankly **** sources regarding Samurai arms and armour I'm getting sick of defending them.  So maybe a new Shogun might give me some new material and for that matter shut some of them up.
