Tusky

That is a good one. I suppose I can't prove I am not a malevolent spider

Glaurung

Well, you didn't appear to be one when we met in the pub, but if you mention "human hands" or "internal skeletons" then I might become suspicious.

Tusky

No of course not. I'll just discuss normal human things like usual. Isn't being bipedal just so much fun you guys? I can't tell what I enjoy most, having a double circulatory system or just two eyes, which is somehow enough.

Glaurung

Thanks, Tusky, that's totally reassuring, and not at all likely to make me think you're an intelligent arachnid and the real Tusky is trussed up in a corner somewhere. Not that I have anything against arachnids of course.

Tusky

Did you know that the Utah Crab Spider is usually only found in Winnipeg and Manitoba area?

Glaurung

Once again, this is a Winnipeg-related fact that I did not know. Clearly my education has been severely deficient up to this point. All I can say is that if it's a "Utah" spider, it's now a long way from home.

Tusky

That's is very true. A misnomer if ever I saw win.

Sorry I mean "one".

Glaurung

A teensy Freudian slip there, perchance?

Tusky

It's a Freudian win
<< Signature redacted >>

Glaurung

I don't think wins have to be Freudian - they're usually quite obvious and don't involve any peculiar psychological effects. Like this one :)

Tusky

What about a Freudian Winnipeg?
<< Signature redacted >>

Glaurung

I suspect the citizens of Winnipeg would become annoyed with you if you suggested their city was a Freudian anything. I expect nearly all of them are convinced of their city's physical reality, and would reject any suggestion of it as a psychological artifact.
