Indeed. And in the hope of obtaining a win of a very different sort, I've been helping today with the LibDem campaign in the Chesham & Amersham by-election. I'm somewhat footsore and sunburnt, but overall it was a good day.

That was probably the better option: it was a grimly hot and humid day to be walking up and down hilly roads, stuffing leaflets through letterboxes.
