ABout 700 yards in yonder direction is a 15foot deep trench about 6 foot across well covered by bushes and trees, no one should see you there unless they already know the spot, and only the local woodsmen know where it is, and well you of course
Tis but a scratch...

Cuddly Khan

"OK, thanks. I am now in your dept." I say as I head of in that direction.

He is Jubal the modder, Jubal the wayfarer, Jubal the admin. And he has come to me now, at the turning of the tide.

Jubal

Khan: You start to head off, but bump into NA and DN, and the priest, heading fairly rapidly in the other direction (you are now effectively all in one place).

NA: "You mean, other than the robes I'm wearing or the fact my donkey's saddlebags are half full of books?"

ALL:
The young female soldier then runs up, sounds of fighting begin to come from the village. She turns to the priest (and clearly knows him well)
"We need to get out of here; the soldiers are trying to make an example of people, we should all head for the hills as soon as possible."
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Gen_Glory

Can i see this? In which case I feel like following as small village life is boring me
Tis but a scratch...

Jubal

Yes, you are there with everyone else DD; they appear happy for all four of you to come along.
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Cuddly Khan

"I shall come with you too, as long as there are soldiers here I'm not welcome." I say

Captain Carthage

"I woke up today and all I wanted was some eggs."

I sigh and trudge wherever the female soldier is headed.
Scum of the highest degree and don't let charitable citizens tell you otherwise.

Jubal

It may have taken the best part of a year, but...

PART ONE COMPLETE.

Ooh, look, you appear to have all formed an adventuring party heading off into the wilderness. That's awfully convenient, it's almost like it was planned by somebody.

You all gain an additional +30xp for completing the stage. I'll post more details about character upgrading soon, along with the start of the adventure in earnest.  :)

Cuddly Khan

OOC: So that means I am now level 2 with 5xp to spare. :) Good game everyone.

Actually it doesn't, sadly, since you'll need to upgrade skills first and that costs XP too. Nevertheless you should be able to get a couple of nice shiny new useful skills to use; I'll put the necessary info up tomorrow probably, piano exam in the morning then my summer starts properly at long long last.

Cuddly Khan

(Or you could make leveling up that same as buying a skill so that you can either level up or choose new skills.)

Tis but a scratch...

Death Nade

( I like where this is going :) )

Cuddly Khan

(Me too, now for the question. HOW THE HELL WERE YOU ABLE TO POST!?!?!)

Okay

AXIOSA: PART TWO
Into the Wilderness

The four of you travel into the forests for a day without incident. It is now morning on the next day; the donkey has a reasonable amount of supplies on.

The priest suggests a course taking you higher into the thicker forests and hills to the west...

What do you want to do?

GM note: Remember that you are now basically a party. Don't try and screw each other over, that's my job.  :P
