Khan: it's a dry valley, but fortunately as you reach the valley bottom your pursuer's horse trips, allowing you to cross the road. You're now in the trees on the other side of the valley, south of the town. What do you want to do?

DN: The soldier is fairly young, and clean-shaven, with quite a thin face. In fact, you realise, he is a she (the practice of women dressing up as young soldiers, particularly to follow their husbands/lovers, is not uncommon and is usually overlooked by generals keen to have any cannon fodder they can get, so this does not surprise you greatly). She clearly believes you to be some sort of village idiot, and grabs your shoulder, steering you back towards the village; she does not seem particularly ill-disposed towards you or threatening, however. (+3xp for good perception check)

NA: Jarun does not seem to be able to hear you over the sound of his own shouting, and the argument gets increasingly fractious as you look on. You see a soldier coming back into the central square, holding a man by the shoulder (this is DN).

DD: Hey. Squirrels. You know what I like about squirrels? Not much.
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Cuddly Khan

I follow the valley further south making sure to get as much distance between me and him.

He is Jubal the modder, Jubal the wayfarer, Jubal the admin. And he has come to me now, at the turning of the tide.

Death Nade

I attempt to start a conversation with my captor to try and gain some random bits and pieces of information about nothing in particular ( :P )

Jubal

Khan: you start heading down the valley to the south; you remember however that there is a checkpoint only a mile or so away so you couldn't get far this way without being seen by soldiers again. There is a slope to the east, and a small trackway up through the trees that loops around the village to the northwest.

DN: She is not very talkative, but goes to her commanding officer and has a short discussion.

Cuddly Khan

I go up the slope, I'll find somewhere to stay the night where they can't find me so I can go back when things have settled down a bit more.

Captain Carthage

I'll back off for the moment but keep a close eye on everything.

NA/DN: The soldier that had DN with her walks over, with DN, to Nightangel.
"You seem to be a reasonably responsible fellow, would you mind taking charge of this man? I found him climbing trees outside the village, I fear he may be somewhat addled."
She presents DN towards Nightangel, and noticeably (to you) but surreptitiously also puts a note in DN's pocket

GM query; shall I keep using forum nicks or shall I start using character names in these bits?

Khan: You head up the slope and northwest, there are trees here but nothing that looks terribly hospitable. You vaguely hear a rustling in the trees, to your north.

Cuddly Khan

I try to circle around behind to where the noise can from, slowly.

OOC: i cant remember my characters name, its been ages since anything has happened to him/anyone. so lets stick to forum names

Tis but a scratch...

Captain Carthage

I discreetly pick out the note.

OOC: I'm assuming I saw it go in from what you described.

In an attempt to talk to my new captor i ask him, "Whats the time?".

Jubal

Khan: You circle around and find... dun dun DUN... DD. :P
DD: You see Khan on his horse, circling you cautiously.

NA: The note reads as follows
"Assuming you have a man in your attic. Get him and this idiot out of the village while this lot are distracted if you want to remain safe, I will follow with the donkey."

DN: Your female captor is now gone back to the troops: you're just with NA now bystanding as the big argument continues.
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Gen_Glory

"Good morning (or whatever time of day it is) stranger (unless of course I know him in which case use his name), what brings you to this neck of the woods?"

Tis but a scratch...

Captain Carthage

"Time to go, come with me."

I head towards my home.
