Khan, you're still running through the forest until you choose to do otherwise.

NA: No, they're in uniform. Small cylindrical hats, dark blue coats. The officer has a wide brimmed hat with a little plume. They're carrying sabres and pistols, standard cavalry gear.
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Gen_Glory

Tis but a scratch...

Cuddly Khan

XD I get my club and charge at the riders following me. ;D

He is Jubal the modder, Jubal the wayfarer, Jubal the admin. And he has come to me now, at the turning of the tide.

Captain Carthage

I'll try to be friendly with the officer.

I ask him if anything important has been happening recently.
Scum of the highest degree and don't let charitable citizens tell you otherwise.

Death Nade

I call down to him "I heard noises"...

(heh)

Jubal

DD: White-tailed, the common variety around your area. They're a little larger than a RL grey squirrel, with white ear-tips and a white tail and belly, but a black back and face. (Yay for on-the-spot fluff generation)

NA: The officer mutters a bit about idiots and rebellious nutters kicking up a fuss again, then looks you up and down and comes a little closer. "Between you and me, yes, but we're not supposed to be saying it in public. Troops mobilised all over the lowlands, looks like the higher ups are really worried about something."
(+8xp for epically successful interpersonal rolls. Hello, gift of the gab)

DN: The soldier looks confused for a second, then asks you to come down.

Okay, this next but (Khan) is the first combat of the game. To clarify, this is done by diceroll & charts, but I'll just report the details as they come out rather than the numbers.
Khan: You spur your horse back towards the two riders. One's horse rears at the sudden turn, and he fumbles with his sword. The other pulls his sword, but as you are already in mid-swing you manage to club him soundly, staggering him and giving you the chance to deal a second blow swiftly afterwards. This he attempts to parry, but you are able to knock his sword back. His arm is clearly broken by the blow, and he just about manages to pull his horse back with his remaining hand, and turns, leaving you facing the other rider whose sword is now drawn.

Do you want to try and attack the other rider, or flee again?
(+25 xp for defeating an enemy, insanely good dicerolls there)
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Cuddly Khan

I'm not game enough to try my luck again, I run as fast as I can hoping that the surprise attack was enough to let me lose them. Now I have a problem, they'd want me even more now.

OOC: Does that mean that I have the most xp now? :D

Captain Carthage

I say goodbye and wish him happy hunting.

I'll then head indoors and have a lie down to calm my nerves.

Death Nade

I tell him i like trees... but not him. I stay in the tree.

Cuddly Khan

OOC: LOL, you like trees but not him, that gave me a good laugh.

NA: you head indoors, and then hear a crash from outside.

DN: The soldier looks at you, then angrily tells you to come down.

Khan: The second soldier is now pursuing you through the trees, with his sword drawn.
The duke, the wanderer, the philosopher, the mariner, the warrior, the strategist, the storyteller, the wizard, the wayfarer...

Captain Carthage

I quietly swear.

And go out to investigate.

Cuddly Khan

I keep on running through the forest (My horse I mean :P).

I ignore him, scramble further up the tree (hoping the soldier isnt armed with ranged weaponry :/ ) and run away through the treetops.
